LG B8 OLED TV Price AND Availability

The 2018 B8 OLED is over a year old, but it's still a great TV and now it's available at a very affordable price. This review focuses on the 55-inch model OLED55B8PUA, but this TV comes in a 65-inch version.

Specifications and smart TV software are very similar between the two models, so the recommendations for the 55-inch LG B8 OLED TV also apply to the 65-inch model.

LG B8 OLED TV Design

The design of the B8 OLED is sleek and elegant, thanks to LG's display glass panels. The size of the whole set is 48.3 x 27.8 x 1.8 inches, but overall it's smoother and sharper than the size. Most of the 1.8-inch thickness is caused by a bug that spans half of the back of the B8 and houses TV components such as the main circuit board, speakers and input ports.

The display is about 0.25 inches thick and 0.4 inches thick. The image is almost always captivating. If the design disappears, just leave the show or movie. This is a fairly design feat, but LG dominates on OLED TVs.

With the small size and weight of the 8-inch model, installing and moving the TV is a two-person job. This is mainly due to the ultra-thin display, otherwise it receives very little structural support from its solid structure. Bending the glass and lifting the TV without extra joints will damage the OALED display. This set attaches an amazing weight of 35.9 lbs (39.2 lbs) to the stand, making most glass designs delicate.

Under the display is a single brushed metal stand to promote the TV and looks great on any outfit. The stand has a very large installation space, 22 inches wide and 9 inches deep, so you can install the TV on a table or shelf that is smaller than the TV's full width. If you want to hang the B8 OLED, you can use the 300 x 200mm VESA mount on the back of the TV.

LG B8 OLED TV Ports

With two port panels on the back, the B8 is perfect for home theater requirements. The left panel has three HDMI ports with HDMI ARC connections for easy connection to speakers and soundbars. The single USB port allows you to connect a flash drive or cable for a USB powered streaming stick.

I love a lot about OALED displays, from excellent black levels to contrast and brightness. The B8 OALED offers all of these features to deliver outstanding image quality for movies, shows and games.

B8 LG is the cheapest OALED model in the 2018 lineup, but thanks to the outstanding performance of the OLED, this set also offers color and brightness comparable to LG's more expensive premium models, even in new 2019 sets like the LG C9 OLED. Most of this is due to the wide color gamut of one set measuring 129.5% of the RC. 709 color spaces. Compared to most LCD TVs over 100%, the B8's score has improved significantly. The LG B8 OLED TV supports excellent brightness and High High Dynamic-Range (HDR) with full support for HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and Dolby Vision formats. B8 OLEDs can be thin, but they provide great sound in a narrow chassis. The B8 is equipped with 2.2 channel sound, providing a 40-watt speaker power with a 20-watt sub woofer. The result is a rich, rich sound that allows you to skip buying soundbars.

In Blade Runner 2049, many of the synth's electronic scores looked great with very precise bass and rich trio for both music and dialogue.

For example, the new LG C9 OELD offers better motion handling, a more stylish smart TV experience, and already priced at less than $ 1,500.
