Huawei Windows MacBook Pro

Huawei Windows MacBook Pro

Huawei, once regarded as a Chinese smartphone, has become a world-class smartphone manufacturer. In fact, it's in third place after Samsung and Apple.

Huawei is entering the notebook market as well as smartphones. Last year, we released a 2-in-1 PC, MateBook. It's a bit like Microsoft's Surface Pro.

This time, Huawei's first laptop came out. The name is MateBook X. This time it feels a bit like a MacBook. Similar names.

Of course, I didn't copy my MacBook. There are many features of Mate Book X. One by one, the thin bezel first catches your eye. The bezel is only 4.4mm. The MateBook X has a 13-inch IPS panel and has a resolution of 2160 × 1440.

It is 12.5mm thin and 1.05kg light. It's a bit thinner and a bit heavier than the MacBook. The material is aluminum, too.

MateBook X is basically a fanless design. To do this, it used a phase change material used in aerospace. It is a method of maintaining an appropriate level even if the temperature changes. I don't know how good the temperature is, but it's a breakthrough.

The power button in the upper right corner supports fingerprint recognition. Like a smartphone, the power button and fingerprint recognition can be used more usefully.

Choose from up to Intel 7th Generation Core i7 processors, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB SSDs. Due to its thinness, I only have a USB Type-C terminal. There are two in total, one on each side. Up to 8 hours of battery life.

Huawei's ambitious notebook, MateBook X, is available in three colors: Prestige Gold, Rose Gold, and Space Gray.
